Following a destructive eruption, a coffee reborn
The fallout from the 1963 eruption of Mount Agung delayed the development and refinement of coffee. Within the following two decades, the Indonesian government played a vital role in the rejuvenation and regrowth of coffee in this region. Despite large portions of the island consist of Robusta growth, Typica and Bourbon varieties comprise this coffee.
